Dondo

Dondo Center...3 International Missionaries, In Central Mozambique, a 30 minute drive from the Beira airport and seaport, we have a Bible school and a home for 33 boys, ages 8-16. A building is also planned for housing girls. The Dondo Center cares for about 3,000 orphans in the Central Mozambican provinces. They are served through our "church/home base care" program. We do regular food distribution into those areas and monitor the care of the children. A provision of either rice or mihlo and a bottle of oil sufficient for one months worth of food per child is distributed. Our goal is to eventually provide seed to our pastors/churches for them to grow and maintain crops for their people.

Our mini medical clinic serves our 33 boys, Bible School students and workers.

Currently, four international missionaries serve our Dondo Center. For visiting only Dondo, contact Ashlee Cladek-Fletcher  If your visit includes other centers, you must initiate your plans through hospitality@irismin.org

from Beira, on the Indian Ocean, to Zimbabwe

Worship at Dondo is wonderful at a pastor's conference

Rolland Baker speaking in English, Surprise Sithole translates to Portuguese and our local pastoral leader translates into the local tribal language.  A long sermon can be very long.  But who cares, only visitors have watches as most stand in the dirt under the big trees.

A few of the local pastors up front have crude benches for sitting.

He's not heavy. He's my brother at the Dondo Conference.

The children at Dondo have lots of energy and love to have their picture taken.
