Pemba 2: Village of Joy Welcome gate at the Village of Joy Inside the new church at Pemba Center 1

The building pictured includes Mozambican staff offices and Heidi Baker's Pemba office. Landscaping is a slow process due to lack of accessible water but progress and beauty are gradually replacing the relentless sandy dust that covers everything at the Pemba Center

In the Village of Joy , there are 17 houses like the one above. Each house can sleep up to 16 in the three bedrooms.  A small kitchen and two small bath rooms are included.

School is out for elementary students through grade six this year.
