March 30, 2008 from Pastor Andrew Sesay

I believe God has given me the same grace, like Moses, to get deeper into the presence of God through worship. What happens is that as I get deeper in the presence of God, the power of the devil in the lives of people is broken, that's the time they will begin to manifest and His people are set free. I feel like this is what He has called me to do.

People respond to an altar-call.

Ministering to the people in prayer as the Holy
Spirit come

Isaac and Brittany, our missionaries, help to set a girl free. She had a dream. A snake appeared to her with meat in it's mouth. The snake said to her, "eat it," but she refused to eat. The morning the snake appeared to her physically in front of her house, telling her "to eat, otherwise, she was going to die." She told me that she was afraid to let her mother know about this. She has been going through this thing all by herself. The good news is that Jesus set her free. She was so happy and full of the spirit of God. My question is, "how many more need freedom?" It looks like we have a lot of work to do.
February 3, 2008, Transformation by Andrew Sesay
Greetings in Jesus' name! God has lead us in the eastern part of Freetown in an area called Dark City. Dark City is know for where all the bad boys live. It's a dangerous place. When kids are abused at home Dark City will welcome them. They will teach them all kinds of bad things. That's why it called the Dark City. We went to Dark City with our partners called No-Boundaries International. They have compassion and really want to help these guys.
Jesus is transforming Dark City into the City of Light. Glory to God. He led us to Dark City and 83 of them have received the Lord Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. Glory to God. We have started discipling them already. The devil wants to destroy their lives but God has a plan of sending us there.
These guys are doing bad things. They are fighting everyday and gambling. Some of them die from sickness, since they don't have money to go to the hospital. The last time we went there, we de-wormed all of them. They now trust us as their friends and are open to the gospel. They told us that no one has told them about the gospel. They really want out of their life, so your prayers will be of a lot of help.

We start with some praise and enter into worship. The wonderful presence of God was so strong. They join me in worship. You can tell that God has started doing something in their lives.

We have started discipleship training. It went well. God is doing al lot of work in Dark city now called the City of Light. God has given us open Heavens in the eastern side of Freetown. Transformation is taking place bit by bit. Glory to God.

Charles teaches about the life of a Christian. God used him in a mighty way. How he delivers the gospel to them was really great.

Isaac and Brittany bring a football with them so we bless the The City of Light boys with it. Isaac loves the guys. They loved football. This is Hommry. He's the head of all the City of Light boys. One can't believe what he is doing now? He's doing evangelism and bringing others to the Lord.

?
Isaac shares what God put in his heart. His translator was John, it was so good. I'm so happy that God is using these guys without me doing much. it show me how much I'm growing and that the work of God can still go on without me.

The City of Light guys were so open to receive what God has for them. We can feel the strong peace of God.

?
Cooking, as you know, one of the ways to show love is not in words but in action. So, every week while the discipleship training is going on, a big meal is waiting, so that everyone can eat until they are full. They know that we love them. They can trust us because they feel like we are now family.
That's great!

Every week, we cook 25 kilos of rice for the City of Light boys. Please pray as the Lord may lead you! Pray and see how you can be a part of what God is doing.

Hello Friends,
We want to share how we spend the Lord's day in the presence of God. it was so wonderful what God is doing in our mist. But first, I want to introduce some wonderful friends of ours. They are called No Bounderies International. God has brought our hearts together to partner for the glory of God. They have been with us December 14 to January 14. We have been doing outreach and planting churches. Glory to God.
On Christmas day we had a one hour service in the morning, then in evening we had a combined service at six. The Lord put in our hearts to feed the poor on Christmas and that was sponsored by our friends. So, after our morning service, all the women were preparing the wonderful food. We had a lot of unbelievers who came. We loved them, fed them and made friends. It was great and God's presence was there.

This sister was a Muslim. She heard the voice of the Lord that she should come to church. Now, she is one of our active worker in one of our churches today. She is full of God and so desperate for the Lord.

Fried rice in the making!

The people have just started coming in for our meeting!

The kids were the first people to fill the hall. We have most of the community kids on that day. They where all over the place. Praise God for the kids. Some of the kids came with their parents and were so blessed.

This is Brother Charles blessing the Church with a song. He was going through some trials in life but the lord led him to us. God is changing his life bit by bit. Please be praying for him as more needs to be done. He loves the Lord and now he can sing. Glory to God.

Serving of the food starts to the glory of God. Everyone was able to eat to the fullest. After that, we also watched a movie, so it was a great day to be alive.
I was so happy that everyone contributed to see this wonderful celebration come to pass. There was lots of food. We fed half of the community. Praise God. All the glory goes to the one and only, King Jesus.
Many blessings,
Andrew.

Dear Loved Ones!
We want to share what God is laying in our heart. We need you to back us up in prayer. God is taking Iris Sierra Leone into a new move. God is doing great things with our lives. We are seeing people coming to the Lord. What amazes me is the transformation of lives by the Spirit, the Lord is setting people free from darkness into light.
The Holy spirit is changing lives here. One of our youth was taking drugs but since he started coming to church, Jesus has changed his life. Praise God. Now he is one of our active youth today. His name is Johnny. God is really growing the church and i want to give you some prayer points to remember us in your prayers.
1) God has given us a vision to spread all over Sierra Leone by planting churches in every community/street/area. Pray for the favor of God on Iris Sierra Leone.
2) The church is growing. We're running out of chairs and benches. Please pray for God's provision.
3) Every last sunday in the month, we are having what we call combined services. All our branches are meeting in one place and worshipping together. It's always been heaven on earth. We need two trucks to be collecting people everywhere for the combined services and also to help in the ministry work.
4) Our P.A. system is too small for us. We have been praying for this and we are just beginning to tap into it. Glory to God. Please pray for God to give us a bigger one in Jesus name.
5) The childen's center is now in operation, though the building is not finished yet. Angella's sister called Kumba died and left five children. So, we brought themto the children's center, please pray for God's provision for the children's center. Please pray for the kids as they needed medical attention. They are in need of clothing and food.
6) We want to see open heavens in Sierra Leone. We want to see many coming to the Lord. We want to see revival breaking out from Iris Sierra Leone. Pray for more of the hunger of God and that the people will love the fire of God.
Your prayers mean so much to us,
Love and blessings,
Pastor Andrew

Hello Beloved in Christ!
Just to recap all of this, my wife Angella lost her sister called Kumba eight weeks ago. Kumba left five children. She was struck by lighting. Kumba's first husband died and left with her two young children. She also hard two older children, one of which came with her own children. She said during the war that she lost her husband when the rebels attacked there village. Everyone was running so that was the last time she saw him. So the last person Kumba finally ended up with, she had three children with him. He is now old and unable to care for the children.
The children arrived yesterday. All of them were sick and needed medical attention. All of them have worms. We are trusting God that they can start school soon when funds are available. The children's center is now in operation for the glory of God.

The children's names are Bintu, Aiah, Komba, Tamba,
Sahr, and Emmanuel

Thank God for the inner strength that comes from the Holy Spirit. Iris Sierra Leone is going through a transition to another level in the Spirit. We just planted a new church today, praise the Lord. The Holy Spirit led me to a community called Corkre. I obeyed the Voice like Moses did. We went to a community, population 5000. The Holy Spirit said, "I want a Church here." It's amazing how He opened every door for us to start October 6, 2007. I was traveling from town when the Holy Spirit led me to visit a member of our church not close where I found myself preaching to people. At the end, many people gave there lives to the Lord. That's where Ramatu received her healing. I can see the desperation in them. I love it, thank you Jesus! May I be open to what you want me to do at all times.
Cleaning the hall that can take 5000 people, the youth from the home church came on Saturday to get the place ready for church. With a team to evangelize the community, the Lord healed two people. They both gave testimonies today in church. Glory to God! So we started the Church with testimonies. The Holy Spirit is up to something.
Ramatu was healed from malaria. She said that as we prayed for her, she felt something was going through her. Today, she was so happy to give glory to God. She is now a part of the praise and worship team in the new church. When we where praying for her, the presence of God came like a wave. Glory to God!
As the presence of God was getting stronger, people were coming from every where and bringing more chairs. This building will soon full in Jesus' name. We prayed for more people after the service. They were so happy that there is a church in the community: More Lord!
By the time we finished worshipping God, everywhere was full. Glory to God! I led all of them to Christ. I preached. My heart is to train the church to reproduce so i can start another as the Spirit is leading. Please be praying for us as we need more chairs.
Moses is a man of God. i discipled him and he loves the things of God and is a good preacher of the Gospel. He is going to be ordained by the end of this month. Moses and my wife are pastoring the Center (Home) Church while I'm planting other churches. Moses is now training others to do likewise. Be praying for us. We really need your prayers.
Many Blessing,
Andrew and Team. August 10, 2007 Update
Hello Beloved in Christ,
Greetings to you all, Iris Sierra Leone has a vision for community development, i believe God wants us to have a healthy community, so Iris Ministries in Sierra Leone, is believing God for revival in our community I believe that this is the beginning of it, in Jesus' name.
God is moving in the hearts of the kids to help, above are the church kids. I learned that sometimes when God speaks, no one will understand it like you, it burns in your heart with passion.
God spoke to my heart to do this work, and i say Lord you know that we will need money to do this work and i have to pay the youth to help do this work and i don't have anything to start. He responds by saying you do have something to start with. He says you have stones and sand to start with, so i sent a letter to all the neighbors who want to help financially. All of our neighbors are rich people. Only one person responded to my letter. But thank God when he sends you, He always makes the provision. You can see that all we needed was provided. Glory to God,
Jesus said to His disciples, "you call me Master, you are right but the Master has made me a servant to you." So do the same like your Master in everything. If Jesus were in our community He would have done the same.
June 7, 2007, Baby Sesay Has Arrived
Hello Guys,
The Baby is out. Praise the lord. We couldn't sleep last night because Angella was in deep pain, so i was by her side praying for her and encouraging her faith in Christ. So i take her to the Hospital the morning, we spend the whole day there, then the news came that she was put to bed.
After the wonderful news i dedicate the baby unto the lord. i feel God's presence so strong when i was praying for the baby. Thank you Jesus. I am so happy this is my first blood son. It meant so much to me. Be praying for us many blessings and rejoice with us here in Sierra Leone.
Our new son, ANDREW DAVID SESAY Jr.
What a wonderful gift from God.
Thank you Jesus for all you have done for us, please be praying for us.
It's good and wonderful to see my own son.
Angella is so happy all this while, she couldn't sleep well, but thank God now, she will be able to sleep just like the baby.
Many Blessings,
Andrew and Angella
Late News, May 6, 2007
Dear Loved Ones,
Greetings! The Lord has been downloading a hunger in my heart to see our community come under the influence of the power of God. I have wanted to see our community moving in the power of God, so we have a three nights of praise and worship inviting everyone in our community. The devil has been trying to destroy the young people in our community, many don't want to go to school, many are in drugs and immorality. The devil has caused them to hate God who really loves them. The turn out was really good, many young people came and gave there lives to Jesus. One young man said to me, "pastor, since i have started coming, nothing will hold me back." "I want to serve the Lord." Isn't that wonderful?

Iris Praise and Worship team.

This is our Iris Dancing Drama Team. Each night, they dance before the Lord. it was wonderful. The young people love the dancing so much. Many volunteered to be a part of the team. That made me feel good.

By the night fall, every where was full. People were standing all round. My heart was full because it has never happen in our community yet. Thank God, He was doing it. For he says, "behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah42:19) Thank you Jesus!

Pastor Andrew preached about God has a destiny for everyone. Come to him and you will know His destiny for your lives.

Many were healed as they were praying.

This lady is called Kady. She was really posessed with many demons. As we were praying she was fighting God. The spirits made her hate the things of God. She testified after deliverance. . You could see God's presence on her. She was completely changed.

Many received from the Lord as the ministry team prayed.

Angella was dancing with the ribbons.

The other Angela from the U.K.

We couldn't use the church building because it was too small, so we had to move outside. Be praying for a bigger place for us as we are growing in the power of God.

The kids also were so moved in the Spirit, dancing before the Lord that no one could stop them from dancing before their God. Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom.

Altar call for salvation. Many gave their lives to the Lord. Almost all of them are young people. God is building up his army in Sierra Leone.
April 15, 2007, from Pastor Andrew Sesay
Dear Beloved in Christ,
Thank you for praying for us, God really did so many things in the village, many came to the lord as the message was preached to them. One thing the lord revealing to me these days is the power in the gospel. He says preach! if you don't preach, nothing will happen but if you preach, something will happen. He says that if you don't have someone to preach to, preach to your self. He says to me to never stop preaching. Preach till i come! The word has become medicine to me. i can't live without it. Thank you Jesus. Be praying for us as we will be traveling the second week in May. Thank you and God Bless you.
We left on thursday for three days outreach in one of the villages which God has given us. This is the team that left for the village, Amy and Kyle our Missionaries and Yei and the great Andrew we hard a great time in the village.

We were trying to fix our tent and the villagers were helping us. These people are so loving as they love the Lord so much. They were happy to receive us. The village head man said, "pastor we give you guys the keys of the village." This village community has fifteen more villages around it. God has given us three of them. We have twelve more to go. You are welcome to be part of what God is doing here in Freetown, Sierra Leone.

This is Pastor Isaac in the middle with his two imam friends. He has started receiving invitations from mosques around the village. Is this not wonderful?

Iris village school children welcoming us with some songs. All these kids are coming to the school.

This old woman was healed from a terrible pain in her leg. Praise God!

A lot of people gave their lives to the Lord. The whole place was pretty full watching the Crucifixion of the Christ. When ever Jesus did a miracle, they will clap cause they loved the film and love Jesus.
News from Sierra Leone
God is really surprising us with His wonderful works. We have been working in a community called Denbeh Community. God sent us there to transform the community through the love and power of the Holy Spiriti. The community is close to the beach, as you know all the beach girls are living in this community, but we are there to show the light of Jesus Christ. Praise the Lord! By the way this is not the village school, it is another school. The school has 125 kids. It's free to all those who come. We have three teachers.

The kids are saying hi to everyone. Will you say yes to God if He says, "go to Freetown and help with the work here?" There is no running water in the school nor a toliet facility for the kids but we
are praying that God will provide and your prayers will help greatly.

This is class number 1 with their teacher, the founder of the school. He is now working with us.
Praise God! One of the miracles God is performing in our midst is by bringing other ministries and pastors to join and work with us. That's good news.
